Viktorija Manzinni brought considerably more than a pretty pose to Playboy Slovenia. A model, actress, competitive dancer and fitness instructor, she had spent years learning how to use movement as a form of expression. When photographer Ivana Kresic put her in front of the Playboy camera, all that training came with her — every line, turn and pose carrying the confidence of a woman who knew exactly how her body moved.
Her original Playboy breakthrough came as Miss December 2010 for Playboy Slovenia. The pictorial proved popular enough to travel beyond its home edition, later appearing in Slovakia, but the bigger prize was still ahead. Manzinni was subsequently crowned Playboy Slovenia’s Playmate of the Year 2011. “For a few moments, it was like time stopped,” she remembered of hearing the news. “Then I was hit by a wave of joy!”
Dance explains much of Manzinni’s distinctive presence in front of the camera. She competed both at home and internationally and eventually combined that experience with fitness to become a Zumba instructor. “Since time immemorial, dance has been a form of movement and expression,” she told Playboy. Modeling simply gave her another stage on which to use the same instincts.
Away from rehearsals, workouts and photo shoots, Manzinni enjoyed the social side of life in Ljubljana. She liked going out, meeting people and embracing new experiences, and Playboy found plenty to like in her appetite for a challenge. Confidence, ambition and charisma appealed to her in other people because they were qualities she possessed herself.
By the time she became PMOY 2011, Manzinni had turned her Playboy debut into something much bigger than a single December pictorial. Actress, dancer, fitness professional and Playmate, she represented a particularly energetic kind of Playboy woman — one who could move from a dance floor to a workout studio to a photo set without missing a beat. “Being a happy person is important,” she said. “I love to thrive!” Looking at her Playboy run, it was difficult to argue that she wasn’t doing exactly that.
