Alicia Rickter

Playboy Playmate, Miss October 1995

Alicia Rickter Bio

Alicia Rickter is an American Playboy model, glamour model, and actress. She was born on September 21, 1972, in Long Beach, California, United States. Her zodiac sign is Virgo.

Alicia Rickter was Playboy’s Playmate of the Month for October 1995. She was 23 when her pictorial, photographed by Arny Freytag, appeared in the magazine, while her centerfold was photographed by Stephen Wayda. Alicia was promoted at the time as Playboy’s historic 500th Playmate, although a later correction to the magazine’s early records established that she was technically the 499th.

Alicia has brown eyes and brown hair, with measurements listed as 34B-23-34. Her October pictorial presented her as an unusually reflective young woman whose interests extended well beyond modelling. She studied psychology at California State University, read philosophy and self-improvement books, painted, and considered Playboy an opportunity to examine ideas about sexuality, social expectations, and personal freedom.

At the time of her Playmate appearance, Alicia was already an experienced international model. Her work regularly took her around the world, including a swimsuit assignment in Cancún immediately before one of her evening psychology classes. Despite her growing modelling career, she deliberately kept it quiet at school because she wanted to be treated as an ordinary student and judged by her academic work rather than her appearance.

Alicia’s childhood left her determined to build a more stable life for herself and her family. Her parents separated when she was young, and she later recalled the emotional effect of growing up without the intact household she saw around her. As her modelling career developed, she often paid for her parents to accompany her on international assignments, viewing her success as a way to improve the lives of the people closest to her.

Her ambitions combined intellectual curiosity with a strong competitive instinct. Alicia wanted to complete college, continue improving herself, and eventually create her own fashion business. She also hoped to become a wife and mother, although she admitted that she had not yet experienced the kind of lasting romantic relationship she wanted.

After Playboy, Alicia moved into acting. She appeared in television productions including Unhappily Ever After, Thanks, and Off Centre. Her best-known television role was lifeguard Carrie Sharp in Baywatch, during the Hawaii era of the series. She later played Laura in the 2002 romantic comedy Buying the Cow.

Alicia also remained associated with Playboy through several video productions and international appearances. Her October 1995 pictorial became particularly memorable because of the confusion surrounding the 500th-Playmate milestone—a distinction the magazine celebrated prominently before its historical count was revised.

On January 29, 2005, Alicia married professional baseball star Mike Piazza in Miami. The couple later became parents to three children. Their marriage brought Alicia into another high-profile world, connecting Hollywood and Playboy glamour with one of Major League Baseball’s most celebrated careers.

Alicia later became involved in European football when she and Piazza acquired a controlling interest in the Italian club A.C. Reggiana 1919. She served as the club’s vice president and took an active role in its administration. The project ended amid serious financial and organizational difficulties, and the original company was eventually declared bankrupt.

From psychology student and international model to Playmate, actress, mother, and football executive, Alicia Rickter followed a path shaped by curiosity, ambition, and a determination to test the limits of what she could become.
