Stephanie Adams was an American glamour model, author, and entrepreneur. She was born on July 24, 1970, in Orange, New Jersey, and has also been credited as Dane Wells. Playboy named her its November 1992 Playmate at 22. Her appearance came during Playboy's 1990s print era, a period increasingly shaped by entertainment and celebrity culture.

Raised by her aunts Joyce and Pearl—both former models—Adams moved into fashion work at 16 after studying at the Ophelia DeVore School of Charm. Her private life grew fraught amid a bitter custody dispute; on May 17, 2018, Adams checked into a penthouse at Manhattan’s Gotham Hotel with her seven‑year‑old son, Vincent. The next morning both were found dead in the hotel courtyard; authorities later ruled Adams’ death a suicide and her son’s death a homicide.
