Stephanie Adams was an American-born Playboy model, glamour model, author, and entrepreneur. She was born under the sign of Leo on July 24, 1970 in Orange, New Jersey, United States. She is also known in the industry as Dane Wells.

Stephanie Adams was Playboy Playmate of the Month for November 1992. She was awarded the prestigious title of Playboy Playmate at the age of 22. Her measurements are 34-24-34. Stephanie Adams had natural breasts, soulful brown eyes, and glossy black hair.

Adams was raised by her aunts, Joyce and Pearl, both former models who encouraged her to enter the fashion world at age 16. She was of African American, Euro-American, and Cherokee ancestry and claimed lineage to U.S. Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams.

After graduating from the Ophelia DeVore School of Charm, Adams pursued a modeling career, appearing in Seventeen magazine, Venus Swimwear campaigns, and Clairol advertisements. She gained national attention as Playboy Playmate while signed with Wilhelmina Models, later moving to Elite Model Management, where she was engaged to its CEO, John Casablancas.

Alongside her modeling career, Adams pursued academics, earning a bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1992. She made a cameo on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in 2003, celebrating Playboy's 50th anniversary, and appeared on the cover of "The Village Voice" in 2005.

In 1999, Adams founded Goddessy, a brand merging spirituality with self-discovery. Beyond publishing, Adams co-owned Wall Street Chiropractic and Wellness with her husband. However, her personal life took a dark turn amid a bitter custody battle. On May 17, 2018, she checked into a penthouse at the Gotham Hotel in Manhattan with her seven-year-old son, Vincent. The following morning, both were found dead in the hotel's courtyard. Authorities ruled Adams' death a suicide and her son's a homicide.
