Tylyn John Bio
Tylyn John is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Tylyn Clare John on July 31, 1966, in Encino, California. Playboy named her its March 1992 Playmate at 25. Her appearance came during Playboy's 1990s print era, a period increasingly shaped by entertainment and celebrity culture.
John has natural breasts, brown eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 34-23-34.
Motorcycle roads and studio lights met early in Tylyn John’s life: the daughter of motocross rider Tom John, she learned to handle a throttle long before many of her peers learned to steer a bicycle. That lineage of speed and balance is one of the clearer through-lines in a career that translated physical confidence into camera-ready motion rather than stillness alone.
Her photographic work leaned into that momentum. Photographers and fans took note of an athletic sensuality that favored wind, motion and the sunlit ease of a California upbringing; she went on to appear in numerous Playboy videos and several special-edition pictorials that leaned into those qualities rather than purely static glamour. Those shoots extended the image many remembered from newsstand spreads into motion work built around gesture and attitude.
On-screen opportunities followed in small measure: her lone film credit is a brief appearance in the feature Rising Sun, a fleeting reminder that the camera occasionally found her away from editorial sets. Off camera, family became central—she welcomed a son, Anthony, in 1998—and the years that followed brought unexpected challenges when she was diagnosed with scleroderma in 1999.
Faced with that diagnosis, she stepped away from modeling and redirected her public life toward advocacy. Television appearances, nonprofit involvement and vocal support for animal-rights causes have been part of that second act, alongside efforts to raise awareness of her illness. Today she lives in Los Angeles with her husband Lou and their son, pursuing that work and making the practical concerns of health and activism the projects that define her days.
