Stacy Leigh Arthur Bio

June 4, 1968 - April 5, 2019 / Gemini / Age 50

Stacy Leigh Arthur was an American-born Playboy model, glamour model, and actress. She was born as Stacy Leigh Darland on June 4, 1968 in Naperville, Illinois, United States. Her zodiac sign is Gemini. She is also known as Stacy Arthur.

Stacy Leigh Arthur made history as Playboy's Playmate of the Month in January 1991, earning the coveted title at the age of 22. Stacy Leigh's glow lit up the lens, revealing a woman coming into her own with elegance, excitement, and irresistible charm.

Stacy Leigh Arthur had beautiful natural breasts, soulful brown eyes, and luminous blond hair. With a voluptuous 36-23-35 frame, she's a true embodiment of Playboy allure.

Before entering the world of Playboy, Stacy had already made headlines in the pageant circuit, winning Mrs. Ohio in 1989 and proudly representing her state in the 1990 Mrs. America contest. A devoted mother of three, she came from Bellefontaine, Ohio, where she lived with her husband, James Alan Arthur.

Her journey with Playboy included appearances in multiple videos, newsstand special editions, and even guest spots on television shows. But behind the allure and ambition, her story took a tragic and disturbing turn.

On October 29, 1991, Stacy's 36-year-old husband was shot and killed by an obsessed fan, James Lindberg, in a shocking murder-suicide on the streets of Bellefontaine. The fan had developed his fixation after interacting with Stacy through a Playboy-sponsored 900-number service. The tragedy was so chilling it became the focus of the true-crime documentary series "The Playboy Murders" in an episode titled "All That Glitters" (aired January 30, 2023).

Just weeks before that horrific event, Arthur had attended a party at the Playboy Mansion, where she later alleged that she had been drugged, raped, and sodomized by three Playboy employees - two security guards and a butler. In 1992, she filed a $70 million lawsuit against Playboy Enterprises, claiming that not only had the assault taken place, but that the company's inaction contributed to her husband's death.

While the employees claimed the sex was consensual and were fired for violating company policy by engaging in sexual acts on the job, the Los Angeles County District Attorney declined to press charges, citing inconsistencies in Arthur's statements. Following her public declarations on national television, Playboy officially severed all ties with her.

Stacy Leigh Arthur's story is one of extremes - from centerfold fantasy to public tragedy, from national beauty pageants to a courtroom battle that shook the mansion walls. Her life was a complex interplay of ambition, vulnerability, and heartbreak. She passed away in April 2019 at the age of 50, leaving behind a legacy that continues to provoke reflection on the darker side of fame and the costs it can exact.
