Barbara Edwards Bio
Barbara Edwards is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Barbara J. Edwards on June 26, 1960, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Playboy named her its September 1983 Playmate at 23. She was later named Playmate of the Year 1984. Her appearance came during Playboy's polished, high-production 1980s period.
Edwards has natural breasts, brown eyes and brown hair. Her measurements are 35-23-34.
Edwards expanded the frame of her public life beyond still photography with a string of small-screen and genre-film appearances in the mid‑1980s. Her television credit includes a guest turn on the private‑eye series Matt Houston in the episode The Bikini Murders, and her film work lists supporting roles in the era’s sun‑soaked thrillers and straight‑to‑video fare, including Malibu Express, Terminal Entry and Another Chance . Those listings read like the résumé of a model who stepped in front of another type of lens and learned the rhythms of a different set.
She carried the page‑photography polish into these modest screen parts: posed for the camera one moment, hitting marks and delivering lines the next. The films themselves belong to a particular mid‑’80s commercial ecology—low budgets, quick shoots, and the kind of casting that favored recognizable faces from magazines and television over theatrical pedigrees.
In a career measured more by presence than by long, headline roles, Edwards’ handful of screen appearances supplies a tidy addendum: a Playmate whose public account, for a time, included both glossy portraiture and the small‑screen grind of 1980s genre filmmaking.
