Marlene Morrow is an American actress, glamour and nude model. She was born Marlene Pinckard on March 15, 1954, in Billings, Montana. Playboy named her its April 1974 Playmate at 20. Her appearance came during Playboy's 1970s print era, when the magazine reached the height of its mass-market influence.
Morrow has natural breasts, hazel eyes and blond hair. Her measurements are 36-25-36.
Morrow’s centerfold was framed by a classic studio eye: the session was shot by Larry Dale Gordon and the images found circulation beyond the United States, running in several European editions of the magazine. That pictorial’s polished restraint and quiet glamour helped introduce her to an international audience at a moment when the magazine still traded on carefully staged portraiture.
Her early life read more like a travelogue than a Hollywood origin: years living in Japan while her father played baseball there were followed by a stretch in London, where she worked as a fashion model. It was during that London period that photographers at home and abroad took notice of her magazine work, and she moved back to California to pursue modeling and occasional screen work.
On film she turned up in small parts: an uncredited appearance in My Fair Lady and a brief role as Miss Australia in the bawdy British comedy Percy's Progress are both among the modest credits that followed her pictorial exposure. In 2006 the photographer Paul Zollo located her living on the streets of Los Angeles under the name Persephone, a discovery that returned her story, briefly and painfully, to public view.
