Lindsey Knight’s move to California was a deliberate break from the Midwest life she had known. Raised in Indiana, she credited her father, a Green Beret, with giving her the confidence to relocate on her own. By 2012 she was settled in Redondo Beach, raising a child and managing a medical dispensary while building a modeling career on the side. California also suited her appetite for the outdoors: scuba diving and boating competed with nights out dancing in Hollywood.
Modeling was beginning to gather momentum at the same time. Knight worked promotional assignments for Budweiser and the UFL, appeared in the May 2012 issue of Cosmopolitan and once attended a Playboy Mansion Halloween party covered in full body paint. She loved cooking and baking, with homemade pies as a specialty, and described herself as still very much a Midwestern girl despite embracing California life.
