Jill Vandermeulen’s career in front of an audience began years before Playboy. At 14, she reached the final of the Belgian television talent show Pour la gloire on RTBF. After spending a year in the United States as an exchange student, she returned to Europe and in 2005 became a contestant on the fifth season of TF1’s Star Academy, giving her early exposure to a large French-speaking television audience.
Modeling became another chapter of her career, eventually leading to Playboy. She appeared as a Playmate before establishing herself as a television presenter, with her Playboy work becoming part of a varied early career that moved between music, television and modeling. Her pictorial later reached Playboy’s international audience in May 2012.
Vandermeulen subsequently returned to television in a very different role. In 2015, she joined RTL TVI as an on-air presenter, beginning an association with the Belgian network that lasted until 2024.
