Elm had been modeling for about a year when Playboy entered the picture. Still relatively new to the profession and determined to develop her skills, she was contacted through social media by a photographer interested in working with her for Playboy. Elm approached the experience with a strong sense of body confidence and saw modeling as compatible with her own ideas about independence and feminism. “I’m not any less of a feminist because I like to pose nude,” she told Playboy. “I feel confident in my body and that is what matters.”

She practices aerial silks and enjoys yoga on the beach, pursuits that fit naturally with her Pacific Northwest upbringing. At the time of her Playboy interview, she was also studying and planning to pursue education in sexology and sex education.
