She accepted Playboy’s, appearing on the cover of its Brazilian edition and working with photographer Daniel Arantangy. The contest focused on contestants’ figures, but Borba wanted the resulting pictorial to reflect her personality as well.
Raised on a farm in Campos do Jordão, in the Mantiqueira mountains, she had little experience with nude modeling. Even so, she recalled feeling at ease during the assignment. “It was calm and very professional,” she said. The finished concept exceeded her expectations: she described it as “radical and wild,” pleased that the shoot had taken an approach she would not have imagined herself.
